Looking after your appointment
A calm few days that keep skin smooth and bump-free.
Waxing leaves skin smooth, and a calm post-appointment routine prevents bumps and keeps results comfortable. Read this as a quick refresher and message us with any questions.
First 24 to 48 hours
- Keep the area clean, cool, and dry.Freshly waxed skin is most sensitive in the first two days. A cool compress soothes any redness quickly.
- Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and heavy workouts.Heat and sweat can irritate open pores while they settle.
- Avoid makeup, perfumed products, and self-tan on the area.Fragrance and active ingredients can sting and cause uneven tan lines.
Days 2 to 7
- Resume gentle exfoliation two to three times a week.Light exfoliation lifts dead skin away from the follicle and helps prevent ingrown hairs.
- Moisturise daily with a fragrance-free product.Hydrated skin recovers faster and keeps the smooth feel for longer.
Care to take
- Wear loose clothing for the first day after a body wax.Friction is the main cause of post-wax bumps. Soft, loose fabric prevents it.
- Apply SPF if the waxed area will see sunlight.New skin is more vulnerable to UV and pigment changes.
Get in touch if
- You notice worsening redness, pus, or warmth that spreads beyond the treated area. These can indicate folliculitis or infection and need professional review.
- You develop a severe or spreading rash.A reaction may need topical treatment, sometimes alongside your GP.
