Gel polish is engineered for shine and chip resistance, and a couple of small habits unlock its full two to three week wear. Treat this as a quick refresher after your appointment, and message us anytime you are unsure.

First 24 to 48 hours

Keep hands warm and dry through the rest of the day.Gel polish finishes curing for a few hours after your appointment. A warm, dry environment lets it seal fully to the natural nail.
Skip very hot water, steam rooms, and long baths.Sudden heat softens the polish and can introduce micro-lifting at the cuticle line.

Ongoing care

Apply cuticle oil every evening.A nourished cuticle keeps the polish seal tight, which is what stops chips before they start.
Wear gloves for cleaning and washing up.Detergents dull the gloss and dehydrate the polish over time. Gloves keep the finish bright between visits.
Rebook every 2 to 3 weeks for a fresh set.A timed reapplication keeps colour and shine consistent and protects the natural nail underneath from prolonged wear.

Care to take

Use a file rather than your teeth on any catch.Picking takes a thin layer of natural nail with the polish. A 240-grit file evens out a snag in seconds and saves the layer underneath.
Rinse hands after fake tan, chlorine, or strong sun cream.These products tint or dull the surface over time. A quick rinse plus moisturiser keeps colour true.
