First 24 to 48 hours

Keep hands warm and dry until the next morning.Builder Gel finishes curing in the first day. A dry, room-temperature environment lets it bond fully to the natural nail and reach its full strength.
Skip saunas, hot tubs, and very hot showers.Sudden heat softens the resin and can introduce micro-lifting at the cuticle line where the next infill begins.

Ongoing care

Apply cuticle oil every evening.A flexible cuticle keeps the seal between gel and nail intact, which is what stops chips before they start.
Wear gloves for cleaning, gardening, and washing up.Detergents and solvents dehydrate the overlay and dull the gloss. Gloves keep the finish showroom-fresh between visits.
Rebook every 2 to 3 weeks for an infill.A timed infill rebalances the apex so the nail keeps the shape it had on day one. Long gaps invite stress cracks at the free edge.

Care to take

Reach for a nail file rather than your teeth or another nail.Picking lifts a thin layer of natural nail with the gel. A 240-grit file evens out any catch in seconds and saves the layer underneath.
Rinse hands after chlorine, fake tan, or strong sun cream.These products tint and weaken the surface over time. A quick rinse plus moisturiser keeps colour true.
